Day 4 Product Introduction - Colour Artist Inks

Welcome to Day 4 of our product introduction!

Today we are introducing you to our Colour Artist Inks.  Our Colour Artist Inks are a water based liquid ink.

Colour Range
There are 18 colours available in the Colour Artist Inks.

Directions
Shake well before use.  For use on paper, cardstock, plastic, metal, wood, chipboard and other surfaces.  Ink is water soluble - semi permanent when dry, therefore you can layer other wet mediums on top of the ink with minimal running of ink.  However, it may take a few days or more for them to dry enough for you to be able to layer other mediums on them.
It is acid free, non-toxic and non flammable.

Tips
These inks are very strong in pigment, so a little goes a long way.

Storage
Store your Colour Artist Inks in a cool, dark place out of direct sunlight.

Techniques
1. These inks are water soluble, so they mix really well to create your own custom colours.
DT member Selena Stevens has demonstrated how to custom mix your own colours in this blog post - Creating your own Colours.  Selena created 171 colours using the 18 Colour Artist Inks.

2. Use a paint brush to paint your surface with the Colour Artist Inks.

3. Using paper or cardstock, spray your surface with water.  Paint the Colour Artist Inks on your surface and watch the inks bleed on the paper.

4.Use the Colour Artist inks to colour your embellishments from lace to ribbons, to flowers and many other embellishments.

5. Apply gesso to your surfaces such as cardstock or paper.  You can then use a eye dropper to add ink to your project.  You can then use a heat tool to dry the ink.  The ink will then pool and create a rippal effect.

What you can do with our Colour Artist Ink is endless. These are my most favourite product to create with.  We have a design team that create projects using our products. For further techniques and ideas, please follow our blog.

The Colour Artist Inks are available for purchase from your local stockist or via our website.

We are looking forward to sharing our 3rd product with you tomorrow - Colour Sprays.
